The story of a name
The story of Bounty’s Child Creative Group is a story with its roots in people and places connected in the distant past by exploration, greed, mutiny, and love. Captain Cook’s explorations linked the cold extremes of the Arctic to the paradise islands of the South Pacific, and set two men, William Bligh and Fletcher Christian, on their courses towards both fame and misfortune. One of our founders spent his childhood on the Alaskan waters, among channels and islands mapped and named by James Cook. But his own course took him far south to another land explored by Cook, and a woman whose ancestry hailed from Pitcairn Island, Norfolk Island, and finally New Zealand; descended on both sides of her family from Fletcher Christian and the Tahitian beauty for whom he led the most famous mutiny in history.
The story of their meeting is wrapped up in a modern day intrigue complete with villains and heroes, kidnapping and rescue, nail-biting suspense, and strategy. You’ll have to guess at the details, because that story, known to but a few, has never been written.
But our story has its roots in the story of the Bounty, and had that story never happened, our world would be far different. Like our Creative Group, we are, truly, children of the Bounty.
